The months of June and July hold extraordinary power for unlocking situations which have been stuck globally. Three important eclipses are due to occur within the next weeks, and they will set the stage for the six months to come. There is evidence that eclipses, being peculiar lunations, generally reflect massive shifts in the global scenery.
The Lunar Nodes have recently shifted to the Gemini/Sagittarius polarity; they spend around 1.5 years in each sign. With the Nodes hovering within the first degree of Cancer/Capricorn, ready to jump into the neighboring signs, there has been major turmoil and widespread dynamism. Traditionally, those degrees are regarded as majorly influential for the global equilibrium, and the concomitant Mercury-North Node conjunction at 0Cancer28 on May 28th proved significantly noisy, as the USA officially pulled out from the WHO, and widespread protests began ravaging the North American streets. The Nodal influence over society is said to carry a “karmic significance”, however – without sounding too spiritualistic – I would say it relates to the relationship of individuals and the collective with both past and future. Key moments in the Nodes’ journey through the zodiac generally correspond with massive releases of suppressed energy, and this may be either a constructive or destructive process.
With the Nodes shifting into Gemini/Sagittarius, the global focus will move towards issues of an international and intellectual type. Travel, trade and information will be the areas which undergo scrutiny during the next year and a half. The Nodes’ influence often remains quite subtle, especially when looking at individual lives, but their dance through the zodiac can be seen to synchronize with the overall trends of society at large, affecting finances, politics and science.

Geocentric, Mean Node
Solar Fire v9.0.26
The first one to occur this season falls at 15Sagittarius34, in tight square to Mars in Pisces, and it is of the South Node type. It won’t be visible from the American continent, but Europe and most of Asia will be able to appreciate it.
Simplifying facts, we can say that because it occurs after the Nodal sign shift, this Sagittarius Lunar Eclipse comes at a time which strongly promotes the reassessment of foreign travel and trade issues. Being a Lunar Eclipse, and therefore a Full Moon, it relates to interactions between opposing realities, and possibly widespread confrontations. Accompanied by “nervous” Mars as well as retrograde Venus in Airy Gemini, there seems to be little diplomacy around these times. By looking at the global events, we can understand how foreign travel and trade have reached a critical point, severely affected by the ongoing wave of lock-downs which has practically halted, or at least reduced, many important activities. The eclipse in question is ruled by Jupiter, which at this time remains quite active in its retrograde trip together with Pluto in Capricorn. As specified in the previous article, the second Jupiter-Pluto conjunction is due to occur on June 30th, at a time which will probably see a full re-ignition of the recent issues connected with the global business.
Mars forms a tight square to the Sun-Moon opposition from 15 degrees Pisces, as it travels towards its upcoming conjunction with Neptune, which will occur on June 13th. This indicates how this eclipse inevitably carries enormous strength, anger and resentment. The unpredictability which often accompanies eclipses may ignite enormous shifts in the social equilibrium which, on the long run, will potentially prove to be positive. The feeling associated with this peculiar astrological configuration is one of breaking away from past restrictions, addressing issues of a sacrificial nature. The Mars-Neptune conjunction in Pisces will occur in opposition to the USA’s Neptune and square national Mars; not only is a hard aspect which is contained in the national chart repeated in the skies, but it will also reoccur in close alignment to the original planetary placements. This year’s Mars-Neptune conjunction carries a sacrificial feeling, as it speaks of self-immolation for the good of society at large. The anger that has been erupting all across the US is indicative of numerous underlying issues which are now being addressed powerfully, as the global community seeks answers for the never-ending pain of both the pandemic and social struggles. There is also potential for immense creativity and glamorous force in each Mars-Neptune square, and hopefully creative outlets will be found soon enough before the situation gets incredibly unstable.
It has to be said that, considering the enormous potential for “self-righteous fighting” which accompanies this eclipse, the risk of illusion is quite high. It is likely that the Mars-Neptune conjunction will powerfully and visibly reignite further interventions of the USA in foreign politics and even armed conflict in the near future. Mars-Neptune alignments can be extremely creative or destructive, with the latter being characterized by the emergence of utter blindness to our wounding ability. Sadly, unconstrained violence often erupts at times such as these, because the down side of this aspect reflects a potential for unconstrained eruptions of suppressed anger, which may also lead to harshly regrettable actions. The degree of uncertainty which accompanies these weeks is enormous and, despite its underlying creative potential, it may initially lead to very unpleasant outcomes.
High volatility may afflict the stock market during the coming weeks, due to the peculiar amount of intensely charged astrological configurations. The Sagittarius Lunar Eclipse may bring further destabilization to the global trade, with harsher developments to follow in the coming weeks, as two other major eclipses will come. It is not a secret that during eclipse seasons there is increased economic uncertainty, simply because the markets after all reflect the emotional ups and downs which regulate both individuals and society at large. The Nodal shift into trade and information-associated signs is likely to prove quite powerful, given the fact that is it accompanied by the arrival of such important lunations, as well as the Mars-Neptune conjunction in another Mutable sign.
Understandably, the global picture may look quite grim right now, but it is important to keep perspective in all this, never forgetting that MAJOR HISTORICAL changes are occurring around the world. Many are probably not aware of the irreversible evolutionary actions which are being taken by the global community right now, but all of this will become evident in the years to come. We should perhaps feel blessed to be living in times of great change, though painful it results to be when you become part of the process of social growth.
