On Jan. 11 2020 Chinese state media reported the first death from a respiratory condition that would become known as COVID-19. A superior Sun-Mercury conjunction accompanied that long-awaited Saturn-Pluto conjunction at 22 Capricorn. Eris enhanced the whole picture.
In March, when Mars reached the planetary cluster, including Jupiter, a wave of lockdowns started in Europe. As we all know, this trend expanded within weeks. A seed of generalised dismantlement and collective rebirth had been planted in January, or even in late 2019 as Saturn approached its conjunction with Pluto. Therefore, the full-blown manifestation of it came when Mars activated 20/24 degrees of Capricorn. That’s when the world realised there was no going back, that we had turned the page. Social metamorphosis originates from death, the end of a cycle, stepping out of comfort zones, embracing something new. Obviously, the process is painful.
That’s what we’re still dealing with… collective rebirth.
The major planetary alignment of 2020 was somewhat rare, and it coincided with our spiraling into darkness, our collective need to reinvent our relationship with one another and our planet. I invite you all to search for André Barbault’s books and interviews where he spoke of the coming crisis of 2020. The famous astrologer left this world in late 2019, just before this all happened.
Under the waning Mars-Pluto square we may learn more about this whole story, directly from China. Also, the Sun-Mars conjunction of early October will culminate over Beijing, addressing the national Chinese Mercury-Neptune-South Node conjunction in Libra.
The next Mars-Pluto conjunction will occur in March 2022. It will touch 27 Capricorn, most likely signalling a rapid breakdown of the American dream. But that’s another story.
Though our world is just being reborn, I’m confidently looking at the 2024 Jupiter-Uranus conjunction as a real breakthrough for us all. It will lead us towards the extraordinary cultural, financial and technological expansion of 2026/27.
