On October 25th a Solar Eclipse will occur at 2 degrees of Scorpio. It will be of the South Node type and Venus will conjoin it. Its co-rulers Mars and Pluto will form a quincunx with each other. The eclipse will also be widely square Pluto in late Capricorn. This eclipse’s dramatic, eruptive, evolutionary qualities are obvious. Interestingly, this partial eclipse will be visible in Western Russia and Eastern Europe. It symbolically links the two regions somehow. The lunar month will culminate with an erratic Lunar Eclipse in Taurus, which will be conjunct Uranus.
In Italy, it will be angular at the Midheaven, and it will fall close to the national Scorpio Moon’s position (1946 Republic chart). One may wonder how its coercive, dark and emotional signature will manifest upon the territory and the masses. Strikingly, the following Lunar Eclipse will fall at 16 Taurus, Italy’s Descendant, and it will also be angular. It might bring powerful Uranian energy to the surface within the nation.
The Sun-Moon conjunction line of the Solar Eclipse will run directly overhead in Naples. This makes me think of Mount Vesuvius, considering the lunation’s ‘volcanic, eruptive’ qualities. Eclipses in Fixed signs generally bring geological events, however more research needs to be done on this topic. The symbolism may eventually play out straightforwardly, but there are other options we should consider.
Furthermore, we should keep in mind that, like in every other case, this eclipse’s message may not become clear until either Mars, the Sun or other planets ‘re-activate’ 2 Scorpio either by conjunction or opposition. However, we may soon witness something which gives us an idea of the energies involved. From a political point of view, the rise of the far right will shift the paradigm quite powerfully, possibly attracting collective experiences of a more extreme nature. We may see more uncertainty all across Europe as a result of the Italian turnaround. Something which seems quite clear is that Italy as a nation will be more prominent in the months to come.
