We have been through very thick fog indeed. In multiple spheres of life, the Neptunian glamour may have manifested in its most unrefined form. Under its influence, the mind gets caught in an endless and consuming fight between what seems ‘right’ and what seems ‘wrong’. The reality is hard to catch, and the Ego is often urged to take a stand, choosing what seems to be the most pleasing option. Neptunian transits are irrevocably shrouded in mystery and fascination. Also, the complexity of this archetypal force resides in its ‘fluid changeability’. The utopian projections of Neptune can range between unconditional attachment and sacrificial repulse. Under Neptunian transits and progressions one generally needs to be ‘needed’, because the Ego rediscovers its primitive side. Under the lack of a strong Ego-structure within the birth chart, the individual oftentimes rediscovers the urge to be taken care of, or to be admired unconditionally. Neptunian phenomena, which become cyclically manifest when this planet makes specific alignments with slow-moving planets or the Lunar Nodes, are characterized by widespread ideological battles. The collective is often urged to embrace a ‘belief system’, which is not necessarily religious in nature. The devotional aspect of Neptunian frenzy is quite obvious at times like these, when the masses are visibly engaged in ideological wars led by ‘redeeming figures’. This manifests on different levels, so there are many people who perhaps have found their own personal ‘redeemer’, the messiah who seems to please their deepest wishes and makes the vision of redemption a viable option. This is the very process that often leads towards utter disappointment and downfall.

What are we actually learning from this?
This is a time of deep reorientation for humanity, considering the multitude of slow planetary events occurring between now and the beginning of next year. Neptune’s influence is most powerful at its station, so right now some groundwork is being done for society’s ultimate ‘redemptive’ experience. Redemption may occur on different levels, it may entail great sacrifice and the urge to accept some kind of deeper truth. The fogginess may be at its highest right now, in a society which does not really know where it is headed. As explained in previous articles, a major shift in mentality will be presented quite soon, probably before the end of the year. We seem to be actually rounding the bend of a prolonged period of extreme difficulty and darkness. With Neptune finally stationing direct one more piece is added to the puzzle and the road towards ‘salvation’ does become clearer. Our ‘need to be needed’ will hopefully be reassessed, and a shift from victimism to compassion will occur. Society’s deepest wounds and vulnerabilities are clearly being exposed under the prolonged station of Neptune. After a year of judgemental fervor and intolerance we are definitely in for a deep redemptive experience. That will most probably bring the universal judgement upon those who did not act in accordance with their truest purpose, and they will be offered the opportunity to look at their paths again with more honesty.
Soon, those who have been naively searching for the ultimate redeemer will gain clear vision and retrace their missteps. Disappointment is too often a by-product of enchantment.
